I am more and more convinced that we need to be healers. Paul talks about the law making us aware of sin. The law isn't a healer. It is a diagnostic tool. Sin rips and shreds and if it was easy to restore, Jesus wouldn't have had to die. We need to be healers. We need to be humble. But again the wrong picture starts to enter my mind. The surgeon has many tools -- some very fine instruments for delicate work and sometimes they use power saws. Is this not humble work?
