I'm always amazed as I read Acts 15. There was a dispute about what Gentile Christians needed to do to be "Christian." Did they need to follow all the Jewish law, including circumcision, which had been practiced since Abraham?

The answer, "No." They needed to do four things:
1. Abstain from food sacrificed to idols.
2. Abstain from blood.
3. Abstain from meat of strangled animals.
4. Abstain from sexual immorality.

Three out of the four seemed to have to do with eating as related to other religious situations. The fourth is a blanket over perverting sex.

If we had to make a list today, what would it look like? To match Biblically, it should be short. But I wouldn't think it would include the idol food stuff because that isn't a big problem in America.
