I received this in the mail.

You are hereby notified that the commissioners of said Drainage District have levied an Additional assessment against the following-described land owned by you lying with said Drainage District in the amount set forth below:

Amount: $1.00

This assessment is payable in one (1) installment which is now due and payable on or before February 25, 2005. Said installment draws interest at the rate of four percent (4%) per annum from February 25, 2005 until paid.

In default of payment any lands upon which an installment of said assessment remains Unpaid will be returned delinquent and sold according to law to pay the amount thereof and costs.

If a receipt is desired, you must enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your payment.

What do you think the postage, envelope, paper, copy, legal cost, and handling cost to send me this notice? But I will pay it because I don't want to lose my house.
