Sleep Study

This isn't me in the picture but it does look like I did last night getting my first sleep study. The tech at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital was wonderful and the room was incredibly comfortable on an isolated wing. I admit I never forgot that there was a video camera on me the whole time, but I actually slept close to normal. Results in only 3 weeks.

Then what? Most people I've talked with go back for a 2nd sleep study where they hook you up to a CPAP machine which basically blows air in your face. One friend informed me today that in fact she knows people who have had to have surgery. While surgery doesn't thrill me much, at least that would be a one-time thing and not night-in/night-out ordeal.
