WavePad Audio

I noted earlier that I was looking for an audio editor.

I wrote:

Wavepad Sound audio editing $Free (I've had trouble with SEVERAL free sound editors but I don't think I've tried this one.) The advanced version is $38.

Well, I downloaded Wavepad and it worked without a hitch. Exactly what I was looking for. It says the master features run out in 14 days, but I don't think I'm going to lose anything crucial. If I do, I'll probably pay the $38 because it didn't crash and it did what I wanted pretty intuitively.
