Peter Jennings Dies at 67

Charles Jennings' son had a Saturday morning radio show in Ottawa at age 9. Jennings never completed high school or college, and began his career as a news reporter at a radio station in Brockton, Ontario. He quickly earned an anchor job at Canadian Television.

He is survived by his wife, Kayce Freed, and his two children, Elizabeth, 25, and Christopher, 23.

This was my anchorman. He was the guy I wanted to trust. In the last year, I was becoming disgusted with ABC for what I felt like was trying to spin stories, but they were still the least "evil" of the three.

But I always felt some kinships with Jennings. He was smart and willing to have conversations, even about Jesus. Truly, I will miss him.
