Danelle and I saw the new X-Men movie last night. Strangely she liked it a lot better than I did. I kept thinking Halle Berry is an Academy Award winning actress with a bad wig and poorly scripted lines. I thought Jean Gray was the star and really did have a much better part. Hugh Jackman does a great job as Wolverine.
It is interesting how they weave evolution (mutants) and spirituality (Nightcrawler quotes Scripture thoughout the movie and discusses faith vs anger with Storm). Maybe we can learn from this.
Ian McKellan steals the show as Magneto too. The movie dealt with some tough issues but handled them in a true comic book way by not making us have to see the truth in such a raw form.
